MODULE 1 - Self Awareness and Personal Development Aims  

  1. To relate your personal objectives with the strategic objectives and values of the organisation.

  2. To understand how people learn and develop and recognise aspects of personality which influence the willingness to welcome and seek personal change.

  3. To improve communication with others including managing meetings.

MODULE 2 - Managing Organisational Challenges  

Aims

To help you learn how to:

  1. Approach the challenges facing the organisation creatively and objectively.

  2. Develop your understanding of the organisation’s likely response to change and to plan for change to meet the challenges within it.

  3. Adopt techniques that will enable effective implementation of the changes needed to meet the challenges.

MODULE 3 - Managing Human Resources and Managing Performance  

Aims  

  1. To understand how strategic and organisational objectives make effective and proper use of the human resource available to the organisation.

  2. To ensure that the recruitment, use and redeployment of people meets both legislative and organisational requirements.

  3. To understand how to deal with grievance and disciplinary procedures.

  4. To set performance criteria and assess team and individual performance against them.

  5. To evaluate individual and team performance and formulate development objectives where performance gaps have been identified.

  6. To gain practical experience in coaching and carrying out an effective performance review.

MODULE 4 - Managing Information Systems

Aims  

  1. To understand the impact of information and information systems on management activities and decisions.

  2. To judge the value and relevance of information available.

  3. To use information effectively in making management decisions.

MODULE 5 - Managing Financial Resources  

Aims  

  1. To give participants a basic understanding of the financial objectives of the organisation.

  2. To analyse financial data using budgets, ratio comparisons and forecasts.

  3. Prepare budgets based on accurate data that will enable the acquisition of the necessary finance to achieve objectives and that will enable correction action to be taken when there are variances.

  4. To produce financial proposals yourself and evaluate proposals for expenditure made by other people.

MODULE 6 - Project Management  

Aims  

  1. To help managers negotiate and define the nature and objective(s) of project(s).

  2. To create effective plans to achieve agreed goals.

  3. To identify the resources needed to complete project(s) and the controls to be employed.

MODULE 7 - Managing Operations  

Module Aims  

  1. To help managers understand the processes and activities involved in managing operations to create overall organisational efficiency and effectiveness.

  2. To set realistic objectives which take account of the demands of the supply chain and the organisation’s strategic objectives.

  3. To learn how to apply quality standards to the performance of the Organisation whilst complying with legislative and regulatory requirements.

MODULE 8 - Marketing  

Module Aims

  1. To learn how to create effective marketing plans to achieve agreed strategic objectives.

  2. To identify the resources needed to implement marketing plans and the controls to be employed.
